Good to know
What it does, and what it doesn't.
01
Transparency kept
WebP holds an alpha channel, so cut-outs stay cut out.
02
Your browser writes it
FyDark asks your browser to encode the file. Chrome and Edge write WebP; if a browser can't write a format, it hands back a PNG, and FyDark names the file by what was really written.
03
Text in screenshots
At low quality, sharp text can blur. Keep the quality high for screenshots of words.
04
Logos as SVG
If you have the logo as an SVG, the SVG optimizer may be the better route.
