What is FyDark?
An image studio that opens in your browser: thirteen tools to resize, crop, compress, convert, grade, mask, mark and clean pictures.
Do I install anything?
No. Open fydark.com/app in a current browser and drop a picture in — or paste one with ⌘V or Ctrl+V.
Can I undo?
Yes — ⌘Z or Ctrl+Z steps back through your edits, and ⌘K or Ctrl+K opens a palette of every tool.
Can I work on several pictures?
Yes. Load several and switch between them; Batch Optimize runs one setting over up to 25 at once, free.

Where they go.
Are my pictures uploaded?
Not for the thirteen tools in your browser. Server batches (Cloud Pro) and AI features upload them to do the work, after you sign in.
Is location data removed?
Every tool writes a fresh file, so EXIF, GPS and camera data don't come along. Remove EXIF does just that, on purpose.
Where are my presets and recipes kept?
In this browser. With Cloud Pro they sync to your account, so they follow you to other devices.
Is anything kept on a server?
Only what a signed-in job uploads and returns: the pictures in a Cloud Pro server batch, and what an AI request sends to FyAI.
Formats
What goes in, what comes out.
What can it open?
Whatever your browser can show: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and AVIF in current browsers. SVGs go to the SVG optimizer.
What can it write?
PNG, JPEG and WebP from the browser. AVIF from Cloud Pro batches, which encode on a server.
Why not AVIF in the browser?
Browsers like Chrome can't write AVIF from a page, so FyDark leaves it out there, with a note. A Cloud Pro server batch encodes AVIF in any browser.
Does it open iPhone HEIC photos?
In Safari, which can read HEIC. Chrome, Edge and Firefox can't, so FyDark can't there either.

What paying adds.
What does Cloud Pro add?
Server batches of up to 1,000 pictures, 1,500 AI credits/mo for AI masks and the AI tab, several export recipes at once, and your presets, recipes and watermark synced across devices.
Is 4K export paid?
No. Every plan, free included, exports at any size the studio offers.
Is there AI on the free plan?
Yes, once you sign in: 30 AI credits/mo to try it. Without an account there's no AI.
Are AI features unlimited?
No. Sign in and Free includes 30 AI credits/mo to try it; Cloud Pro has 1,500 AI credits/mo, and Team 6,000 AI credits/mo shared by the team. Masks, auto-enhance, a look from words, the Director, Ask, a palette and alt text cost 3 credits a run; captions, headlines and variations cost 1.
What's the Team plan?
Cloud Pro per seat, with server batches of up to 5,000 pictures and 6,000 AI credits/mo shared by the team.
Can I buy just FyDark?
Yes — Cloud Pro and Team are sold per tool, or as the FyTools suite.

What FyDark doesn't do.
Can it remove backgrounds?
No. There's no background remover in the studio today.
Is there a brush mask?
Not yet — it's in the Masks panel, marked coming soon. Gradients, brightness and colour ranges work today.
Layers, or Photoshop files?
No. FyDark isn't a layered editor and doesn't open PSDs.
Does smart crop find faces?
No. It cuts the largest frame of a shape from the side you pick.
Can a batch add a look or a watermark?
Not today. Batch Optimize compresses, converts and caps size.
