JPG to AVIF, encoded on a server.
AVIF files are small, but most browsers can't write them from a page — Chrome can't. FyDark's Cloud Pro batches encode AVIF on a server instead: one JPG or a thousand, at the quality you choose.
Real AVIF comes from server batches, on Cloud Pro.

Good to know
What it does, and what it doesn't.
01
Why a server
Encoding AVIF needs an encoder the browser doesn't offer to pages. The server has one.
02
In the free studio
Compress and Convert offer AVIF only where your browser can write it; in Chrome it's left out, with a note pointing here.
03
Who can show AVIF
Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari display AVIF, so the files work on the web.
04
Uploads
Server batches upload the pictures to do the work, after you sign in.

Questions
Asked and answered.
Can I do this for free?
Not as real AVIF. For a free, smaller format in your browser, use WebP.
How many at once?
Up to 1,000 per batch on Cloud Pro, 5,000 on Team.
Is my picture uploaded?
Yes — to a server, after you sign in, to encode it. The result comes back into the studio.
